Lykke Li's amazing performance on Letterman. Seriously check out her Made Her Think rings! The way the chain rings move make me love the song even more somehow. First Aid Kit sang with her in the background.. those are the girls that sang the insane Patti Smith cover that made Patti CRY! Watch that one in the second video.

SAMANTHA PLEET
Samantha Pleet's Fall collection just arrived. Dying over these wool coats.. and especially the little red silk cape shorts.
Here's a video for this collection. Samantha scored the soundtrack herself!
Samantha Pleet Autumn Winter 2011 from Samantha Pleet on Vimeo.
Samantha Pleet says: The Autumn Winter 2011 collection was inspired by mythology, astronomy, and my recent trip through Iceland. The clothes capture the enchantment I experienced at wonders along the Ring Road with it’s frozen waterfalls, geysers, and northern lights. I worked closely with an embroiderer back in NYC to bring the imagery inspired by my trip to some of the pieces. A starry night sky appears on shorts, the cycle of Venus on the collar of a dress, and reflected moons glowing on the lapels of a blazer. The regal color palette comes in classic, luxurious fabrics like velvet, English tweed, and washed silk that is discreetly embellished with tassels and iridescent star buttons. The clothes bring a sense of enchantment to everyday life, from work to a party, or while exploring dramatic landscapes and telling tales by the fire.

MARA HOFFMAN and ALL FOR THE MOUNTAIN
All For The Mountain and Mara Hoffman. They always pair well together.
RACHEL ANTONOFF
Rachel Antonoff's Fall Collection. We chose these ones with holiday parties in mind.
The cat tights will be here soon.
Here's Rachel herself wearing the navy velvet Leith dress at her presentation (which was a formal dance party held in a high school gymnasium)

HALLOWEEN
We just had our first annual Halloween party at Who Died (the official name of the Bona Drag headquarters). Milwaukeeans take Halloween very seriously.. which is one of the best things about this place.
Pre- party pics:
The pentagram dance floor.
Kim Krans arrived with a bouquet of red roses for me, which turned out to be a great skeleton accessory.
Is three feet of dried leaves scary? Somehow, very.
John and Aaron made an insane Upside down room.
The ladies lounge wasn't even decorated but it's still scary as shit.
This is the secret room we found the other day.. we made it into Jonny's seance room.
Bloody body bags left in the corners.
The other other seance room.
Sketchy hallway
Hannah Bartie: Riff Raff
Sarah Wojner: Chuckie
Faythe Levine: all seeing mystic
Me: Medusa
Falling on a bed of nails, by Dead Man's Carnival
Big thanks to Rachel at Great Lakes Distillery for the Absinthe and Kinnickinnic Whiskey!
That's where my party brain started and the picture taking ended, so see more on Daniel Arnold's camera here.
The next day we went to Holy Hill and did some serious hanging around.
Gia from Unearthen came from LA, and Kim and Jonny from The Wild Unknown came from NY.
Hannah died and I didn't even know it. Bye Han.
More pics on Faythe's blog. A special thanks to Renee and Paul for driving from Louisville (and bringing me cruelty-free eggs from their happy chickens).
