"where's your cat? i wrote a song about her."

i'm having a serious dorothy day today. i miss the crap out of her and the way she would get so psyched. good thing we have great friends in town to keep the house fun. the type of friends that would write a song about dorothy while on a flight from portland to encinitas. and that would buy us nintendo and guitar hero from target last night just because it would be funny.

living and dying laughing and crying

i do work.
but on sunday i took a day off since hannah and spencer and I worked so hard at the secret photo shoot on saturday. and, we had a badminton tournament to host.
TRAPPED UNDER ICE lost both games and were quickly eminated and i swear everyone else cheated and i hated everything about those two games.

so i took the night off as well and drank too much wine with a couple other teams. it was pretty much amazing.

but now it's back to work.

keats and yeats are on your side but YOU LOSE

kind is a knitwear label from the uk. they say their third collection was inspired by alice in wonderland and oscar wilde. i'd love to carry this line in my shop, but is there a way i can make encinitas girls love these sweaters as much as i do?

it was possible to marry a cloud

why don't you marry it

i wish you could see my shoes and socks in this picture. it really makes the outfit.

sinead has been killing it lately

we're not
like dorothy

listen here

John I love you
I'm ever so fond of you
Will you wait for me
'till I am heavenly
Oh there's much work to do
But I love you

Oh you're tender
Your names a whisper

I let tears fall like rain
Apple-sized they were
All over her

And through all of those times
When you could have died
This is what you find

There's life outside your mother's garden
There's life beyond your wildest dreams

There hasn't been any explosion
We're not spinning like Dorothy
If you look now you'll see why
Don't be afraid to cry
This time don't let yourself fly
Pick up those dancing shoes
Kick off those wedding blues
These are the ways you can choose

Child your tender
Your name's a whisper

oh you

Talk about awesome things happening. Miranda July has a new book coming out this month called No One Belongs Here More Than You.

Miranda was first introduced to me by a very smart girl named Tiffany Harker when she forwarded me this website : Then she made my favorite movie that's not by Wes Anderson called Me and You and Everyone We Know. How could you not want to marry her? She's brilliant, beautiful, funny, a filmaker, writer, performance artist, actor, musician, and the girlfriend of mike mills, maybe. Go to this website and then tell me that you don't feel like reading this book.
