remember when radiohead used to be so fucking good? john just played "let down" last night and i almost forgot. they used to be on my top five even. ok computer was so amazing it hurt. i wonder what happened.
my brother used to not be able to listen to karma police because it would make him cry every time. that's the saddest, sweetest thing ever.

jovovich hawk sale

i don't normally blog about sales but this one is a real good time. www.hautelook.com has a day long sale on a bunch of jovovich hawk stuff. their target line surprisingly sucked really bad so it was nice to finally see some affordable beauties. i still just spent way too much money but it sure was fun.. HURRY cause it ends in just a few hours.

we still can't get a cat because our dog blue is a hater, so i just visit them once a week or so. yesterday's visit was extra magical. there are a lot of new long haired friends in oceanside.
this guy below has 6 toes on each foot and doesn't use his back left leg. he's a hopper.
in the meantime i've been dressing blue in dashiki's. he doesn't like it much, but i do it for all the cats out there.

the new bona drag mixtape volume three is going out with orders starting today. as always, it's extremely awesome. and just in time for summer / gladiator sandal season.

linda ronstadt is tight. i've been listening to her since day one. who cares that she didn't write her own songs, nobody's perfect.
i just recently added linda ronstadt tank tops by rotter and friends to the shop. the bottom of the shirt reads "the original sinette". i feel like i'm a pretty big linda fan, but i had no idea what that meant. so i asked jess rotter, who illustrated the shirt. this is what she said:

"well, there's a little fantastic legacy which started when gram parsons wrote the song "sin city" for the gilded palace of sin album. along with as many as 20 other friends, they called themselves the "sin city boys" wearing sin city jackets in 1973. the only girls allowed to wear the jackets were emmylou harris and linda ronstadt - who dubbed themselves "the sinettes". kind of like country t-bird/pink ladies."

zooey deschanel and m. ward just put out an album under the name SHE & HIM. i was never a fan of m. ward but i'm trying to like this one. zooey sings just like you'd think she would.zooey is also starring in the next shyamalan movie THE HAPPENING, with mark wahlberg, who is also tight.

magazine day

my roommate david bought me a paper subscription for christmas, without saying the words "what do you want for christmas?". that was really thoughtful.
